Masjid Ibrahim Islamic Center

Assalaam-o-alaikum-wa-Rahmatullah-wa-barakuthu

Masjid Ibrahim Islamic Center is open five times daily for Muslim congregation prayers. The worshippers attend the masjid daily for five prayers (salaah). Every Friday afternoon the worshippers listen to the sermon followed by congregation prayers and announcements.

Every year during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, the masjid hosts free dinner after sunset prayers (Maghrib) for worshippers and the neighbors. The annual religious celebrations known as Eid-al-Fitr and Eid-al-Adha occur twice a year, where Muslims offer the morning prayers at the Masjid followed by light breakfast or snacks.

The Masjid offers several secondary community services. These include free Arabic language classes and adult study circles (halaqa) on the weekends. Other activities include distribution of groceries to the needy in the neighborhood, to the worshippers, and refugees. From time-to-time other religious events are held at the premises including small marriage ceremonies (nikkah/ walimah) and new baby welcome celebrations (aqiqah).
